KidLit TV at the 2014 Carle Honors

On Thursday, September 18th movers and shakers from the kid lit world gathered at New York City’s Guastavino’s to celebrate the 2014 Carle Honors. Jerry Pinkney, Dr. Henrietta Smith, Francoise Mouly, and Reach Out and Read — represented by Dr. Perri Klass and Brian Gallagher — were honored for their work, and commitment to the children’s literature community. In addition to celebrating those who’ve helped to enrich the lives of children via literacy, The Carle Honors is a fundraising endeavor which helps raise money for The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art.

KidLit TV’s Rocco Staino (Full disclosure: Rocco Staino is a contributing editor at School Library Journal) caught up with honorees, hosts, and other guests on the red carpet.
