Amazon and Hachette Kiss and Make Up

Amazon and Hachette Book Group USA have finally reached a deal after a several months long dispute that began in early 2014. The multi-year agreement positions Hachette favorably with regards to e-book and print sales. The deal Amazon struck with Hachette is similar to their engagement with Simon & Schuster in October.

In the statement, HBG CEO Michael Pietsch said, “This is great news for writers. The new agreement will benefit Hachette authors for years to come. It gives Hachette enormous marketing capability with one of our most important bookselling partners.”
