Diverse Minds Youth Writing Challenge

The Diverse Minds Youth Writing Challenge is an initiative created by B’nai B’rith International to promote diversity. High school students from public, private, and charter schools are asked to write and illustrate a children’s book that highlights “tolerance, diversity, and inclusion.” The contest is held in several cities/regions and each winner receives a $5,000 college scholarship and publication of their book. Additional prizes are awarded for second and third place entries. In addition to prizes for the students their schools and teachers receive $500 grants.

The entry period is open for the 2014-2015 challenge; however, the deadline for each city/region varies.
