Ninth “Diary of a Wimpy Kid” Title Has Strong Sales

The main character in Jeff Kinney’s series Diary of a Wimpy Kid may be soft, but the ninth title in the series has strong sales. Released on November 4, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul is the top selling title in all English-language territories globally, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, and New Zealand. Abrams’ strategic decision to release the book in all English-language sales territories at the same time drove international sales, and proves this wimpy kid is nothing to mess with when it comes to the numbers. Based on the success of the books, Kinney will embark on a month long book tour in the United States, and visit international destinations in December.
