‘Harriet the Spy’ Park Designated Literary Landmark

Our friend and host at KidLit.TV’s StoryMakers, Rocco Staino, was at the Carl Schurz Park for the Harriet the Spy dedication. The middle-grade reader celebrated 50 years with a literary monument.

The park “plays a major role in the book: Harriet lived down the street and went to school around the corner.” It was a key spot in Harriet’s spy route.
