While all of her albums have been big sellers — her CD/songbook combinations have nearly two and a half million copies in print, according to her publisher, Workman — “Philadelphia Chickens” is likely to have gotten a boost from its celebrity cast, which includes Meryl Streep, Kevin Kline, Eric Stoltz, and the Bacon Brothers — Kevin Bacon and his brother, Michael — who sing the title song and star, with a bunch of cartoon chickens, in a goofy music video.
