90-Second Newbery | Tips & Tricks for Teachers

This article has a great 90 Second Newbery software tip for teachers. If you have students aspiring to be filmmakers, here is a great, easy-to-use software program called Wondershare Video.

The FIFTH annual 90-Second Newbery Film Festival is accepting entries — deadline is December 14, 2015 — so here’s our first tip to help you create a winning entry!

Wondershare Video is an all-inclusive video-editing tool specifically designed to create home videos. The program comes with an assortment of useful tools, such as transition and green screen effects, color corrections, a subtitle editor and a video trimming utility. Wondershare Video is a powerful, but user-friendly editing software that will teach kids the basic skills of videography.

Getting started with Wondershare is as easy as 1,2,3. Simply load a video file, drag and drop it into the storyboard and get started. From here you can choose from many available transitions to combine the different video files, adjust the contrast, brightness and saturation and add basic fading effects. Be sure to add your personal touch by applying any of the many creative effects available. Make it fun and be creative!
