I don’t have a favorite book, but his books look like so much fun for adults and children reading together! I love the chance to be silly and laugh. Thanks for the giveaway.
It’s great fun to see him read to an adult audience, too! He had a room of 1200 writing conference attendees laughing like little kids!
I think that these book look like they could give my ELLs a sense of role play with less stress, because they could use the level of English they have acquired without feeling the lack of fluency that they haven’t yet mastered. It will allow them to be who they are for the moment and work towards higher goals.
Engaging your students in this way is brilliant. What a great idea, Rosie!
Thanks for sharing a peek of Herve’s process! Press Here is my favorite.
You’re welcome! Great choice for fav ;-)
I cannot say enough about M. Tullet. He is the most brilliant author and illustrator and the kindest man ever. I teach Head Start and my classroom full of literacy starved preschoolers absolutely love him. To them, he is ‘my friend Herve Tullet’. I cannot pick a favorite book of his on merit because they are all absolutely wonderful but I will have to say “Press Here” because it was the first book of his I ever read, the first one I read to my preschoolers and the beginning of a delightful journey.
I agree, Cynthia! Each book is an event — a day’s worth of creative activities could be created from each one.
I’m a Tullet lover too! Press Here is remarkable!
A fav of mine, too!
Another Tullet fan! What I found fascinating is that he could improvise so well his presentation at a conference. We were laughing and 100 percent engaged. Incroyable! PRESS HERE is my favorite.
He listens to the his audience, which is so important when creating a dialog.
Just one FAV? No fair. I love Tullet’s no-tech interactive approach to story telling! <3
I know it’s hard to pick just one. So I pick them all!
I am a new Fan!! :) and loving it :)
SO happy you discovered him!
“Press Here” and “Mix it up” are our family favourites at the moment!
ADORABLE! NOTE: you can enter everyday! :-)
Your books have inspired me! Love PRESS HERE!
i LOVE the dialogue-inspiring aspects of his books. Really enjoyed this!
These are awesome storytime books!
What a great interview! :) Thank you!
