JULY TOPIC: Animation vs. Live Action Films
Hey teachers and parents: Learn how to help your students make videos!
Do you want to make a film, but don’t know which type to make? There are many types of film-making, but the two that we discuss today are animation and live action films. Live action films are like Disney’s 2015 Cinderella film or Maleficent. In the book trailer world these types of videos can be made to “tell the story” of your book.
We also talk about James Kennedy’s 90 Second Newbery Film Festival! The festival is a film making contest for kid filmmakers. They have to choose one Newbery winner, like CHARLOTTE’S WEB and make a 90 second video about the book. The festival is fun and energetic and brings hundreds of people together.
