Summer is a time to be transported, to be borne far away to exotic lands of make-believe.

For some, the gateway is a night sky smeared by fireworks. For others, it’s that spooky, magical half-hour between dusk and full dark, or a crowd at a drive-in reveling in a shrieky creature double feature.
