Why World Read Aloud Day?
We think everyone in the world should get to read and write. Every year, on World Read Aloud Day, people all around the globe read aloud together and share stories to advocate for literacy as a human right that belongs to all people.
Lit World provides participants with all the tools they need to spread the word about, and to participate in World Read Aloud Day. Visitors can download community kits, classroom kits, schedule a virtual read aloud and more. Also, Lit World has a downloadable picture book, New Day, New Friends, which includes a discussion and activity guide.
