StoryMakers with Becky Flansburg SISSY GOES TINY

On this episode of StoryMakers, author and Project Manager of Multicultural Children’s Book Day, Becky Flansburg teaches Rocco what it means to go tiny! Does it involve a shrink-ray?! Nope. In real life, like in Becky’s book, SISSY GOES TINY, downsizing, repurposing, and “living tiny” mean thinking sustainably and doing more with less. Watch to learn more about this BIG idea.

ABOUT the Book

A diverse picture book about a family that chooses to live Tiny and do More with Less.
Eight-year-old Sissy loves her life. She loves her toys, her Big house, and her Big backyard. But when Sissy’s parents decide they are going to live in a Tiny House on wheels and travel around the U.S., Sissy isn’t sure that she will like the idea of “living tiny.” But as she and her mommy and daddy learn about downsizing, repurposing, and how “stuff is just stuff” in a positive way, Sissy soon understands that living Tiny has BIG possibilities; possibilities for all sorts of adventures and learning.

Thank you Becky for your book! We need books like yours…. to teach us to remember to live simple……with what we really need not to much what we really want. Is your book available in Spanish?

Hi Heidi! Unfortunately, Sissy isn’t available in Spanish at this time. It’s a great idea tho!

Congratulations Becky! I loved the book and I feel the concept is important. Kids should have experiences and not be bogged down with all of the stuff. Cherishing family and seeing their world is so important.
