Save Independent Bookstores

From American Booksellers: Save Independent Bookstores

Give Now to Save Independent Bookstores

The COVID-19 public health crisis has put our nation’s independent bookstores in grave danger. Through the support of James Patterson, Reese’s Book Club, the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (Binc), the American Booksellers Association (ABA), and YOUR GENEROSITY, together we can do our part to save independent bookstores — the hearts and souls of main streets in cities and towns all across the United States.

The COVID-19 public health crisis has put our nation’s independent bookstores in grave danger. Join the ABA and many others to #SaveIndieBookstores.

Right now, it is our mission to infuse independent bookstores across the country with the financial support they need to remain viable while they are forced to shutter their doors during the coronavirus pandemic. Your contribution ensures that they will survive and continue to thrive when our nation emerges on the other side. As the crisis continues to evolve, so does the goal. Your generous gift counts!

Making a comeback is possible. Indies have done it before.

Throughout ABA’s-120 year history we have seen independent bookstores thrive, and multiply. Indies have overcome it all. From the Great Depression to the Great Recession and along with the closing of a large national chain in 2011, indies across the country have always fought hard to sustain themselves and have emerged as economic leaders in their local communities.

The future is bright for ABA’s 1,800 + members, but the coronavirus outbreak is a set-back that will put many of your favorite independent bookstores in danger of closing permanently.

Right now, is the time to show indies how much they mean to you by giving to #SaveIndieBookstores.
