Beautiful Multicultural Easter Books

Only a few more sleeps until it’s Easter egg hunt time! Easter festivities include many different things for many different families, but one common denominator is BOOKS.
Check out this wonderful selection of children’s books — some Christian, some secular — that feature a wide variety of diverse characters from Svenja at Colours of Us.
It’s even broken down by age group!
In 2017, author Charlotte Riggle was frustrated that she could only find 20 multicultural Easter picture books that have been published in English since 1950. After having read and reviewed them all she narrowed it down to six truly exceptional Easter picture books to your library, or giving them to the little ones that you love.
Multicultural Easter Books
We really love this excellent list of 14 Ways to use the Orthodox Easter book, Catherine’s Pascha, to extend the learning, and the joy, with games, crafts, lessons, recipes, and more from Charlotte who also happens to be a MCBD Team Member.
Rebekah from The Barefoot Mommy also struggled to find quality books. After a lot of searching, she was able to get her hands on 7 culturally diverse Easter books for kids. Some focus primarily on the secular traditions of Easter, while others focus on the resurrection of Jesus. In her post, she’s also included links to kid-friendly Easter activities from countries around the world.

Keep calm and be READ ON.
