“I have always written stories, ever since I learned how to write. My creative and wacky family, most of whom are artists, actors, storytellers, and writers, helped me along. My childhood was never dull. I grew up in the oldest house in Princeton, New Jersey, with three brothers and one sister. We nourished our imaginations by writing and illustrating stories and performing plays. I LOVE to write stories that can be enjoyed on Halloween, and my skeleton stories seem to be especially popular. I enjoy laughing with children—and I think they’re the best people in the whole world! Even though I have the body of an older woman, I’m still five years old inside.”

Martina Liebig
Martina Liebig is an award-winning illustrator from Hamburg, Germany. In 2017, she graduated from the University of Applied Science Hamburg with a master’s degree in illustration. Her first picture book won several awards and honors. Currently, she is living and working in Hamburg as a freelance illustrator.

Benjamin Gottwald
Benjamin Gottwald lives in Hamburg, Germany, where he works as an illustrator and animator, draws for a magazine, and builds characters out of wood. The idea for Buzz! Boom! Bang! came from his thesis at the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, and the German edition won the Hamburg Picture Book Prize and the German Youth Literature Award.
