About Angel & Tracey Jimenez
Angel has dedicated over 18 years to his career as a safety professional, overseeing construction projects, conducting trainings, and ensuring worksite safety across California. In the spring of 2020, during the height of the COVID shutdown, Angel was assigned to several projects in San Diego—four hours away from home. After just one week away, missing his family deeply, he came across a six-week-old French Bulldog puppy and couldn’t resist bringing him home.

With both Angel and his wife Tracey still working full-time, they decided the puppy—soon named Diego—would accompany Angel to work. As the safety supervisor on busy construction sites, Angel made space in his trailer for Diego, complete with a playpen and a chew-toy teddy bear. It didn’t take long for Diego to win over the entire safety crew with his playful spirit and daily presence. Tracey and the team affectionately gave him the nickname “Safety Dog Diego,” and he became a beloved part of the job site!
