“I have always written stories, ever since I learned how to write. My creative and wacky family, most of whom are artists, actors, storytellers, and writers, helped me along. My childhood was never dull. I grew up in the oldest house in Princeton, New Jersey, with three brothers and one sister. We nourished our imaginations by writing and illustrating stories and performing plays. I LOVE to write stories that can be enjoyed on Halloween, and my skeleton stories seem to be especially popular. I enjoy laughing with children—and I think they’re the best people in the whole world! Even though I have the body of an older woman, I’m still five years old inside.”

Jeanne Walker Harvey studied literature and psychology at Stanford University and has worn many job hats, ranging from being a roller coaster ride operator to an attorney, a middle school language arts teacher, and a long-time docent for school groups at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. She is the author of several books for young readers, including the picture book biographies DRESSING UP THE STARS: The Story of Movie Costume Designer Edith Head, ABLAZE WITH COLOR: A Story of Painter Alma Thomas, MAYA LIN: Artist-Architect of Light and Lines.

PYRAMID is the story of renowned architect I. M. Pei and his triumph in redesigning the Louvre through problem-solving and persistence. Tanisha J. Ray

Tanisha J. Ray is a licensed substance abuse counselor with a background in education. A North Carolina native, she enjoyed working with children and adolescents before facilitating groups within an AZ state prison. Even though Tanisha’s a lover of good food, she’s a horrible cook, which is fine, because there is always cereal!

Tanisha loves storytelling, adores children, and advocates for families. So, she decided to write juvenile fiction that promotes positive family values with reaffirming messages of resilience, tolerance, and compassion.
